Bureau of Abandoned Lands
To Brigadier Genl Scott

The petition of Francis M Whaley
respectfully sheweth:

That he is the owner of a plantation on Wadmalaw called "Lightburn" which has been restored to him recently. And that he is also the owner of Summer Residence at Rockville: the Lot bounding North on lands of Dr. Townsand, West on lot of Dr. Jenkins, South on lands of Dr. Townsand, & East on the public Road.

He refers to his petition already filed for evidence of his loyalty, and prays that his Summer house at Rockville may be restored to him -
