The Yokut are of Mariposen family.
Location: 
Fresno County, Middle California.
Materials;
Foundation - grass stems (sparobolus vilfa).
Sewing - white slough grass root.

White - gathered at Visalia swamp soaked, 
split in four sections,scraped, and then soaked again. 

TULARES.
Tulares are of the Moquelumnan family. 
Location:
Tule River Reservation twenty miles from Porterville, California. 
Material: 
Same as Yokut, except that they pften used for clack, the fern root (pteridium-aquilinum).

The old Tulares were made in the early days at Tulare Lake, King's County, California, before the days of the Tule River Reservation.

NEZ PERCE.
Nez perce are of the Shahaptin family..
Location: 
Northwest Idaho, northeast Oergon, and southeastern Washington.
Materials:
The interesting utility and gift bags are made of the best of the Indian hemp (apocynum-connabinuin), and shredded grass stems.
Design of overlaying warp strands with corn husk, or colored grass, with worsted interwoven.
