Dear Mrs. Blake,

This is just a little note to let you know that I reached home safely, and to thank you for your lovely hospitality.

I'll never forget that turkey dinner, with it's New England flavor. I'll duplicate it here, so my family in Houma can have a little of its wholesome goodness, although I'll probably be unable to cook it as well as you did.

Sis was waiting for me when I arrived in New Orleans. We went to the French Market for coffee and doughnuts, and then didnt hurry home - but enjoyed New Orleans leisurely.

I promise you a real letter as soon as I settle down again-.

Much love and appreciation,
Marguerite Ullman.
