General
I have the honor to solicit some appointment or position in your Department if citizens are in any way employed by you. I have just been mustered out of service. having been in the army, nearly four year, two year and six months as Captain in the 14th USC Inf. (Col T. J Morgan's Regt) I can furnish good references as to character. both as citizen and soldier. I desire to reenter the army, and wish to obtain this appointment while awaiting a decision on the other.
