the support and comfort my age so much demands. My son served four years in the late war, enlisting as private in the 2nd Wis Cav (then commanded, by the now Hon. G.G. Washburn, who will speak well of him) + mustered out as Major in the 1st Ark Cav. He is an efficient clerk, + business man + is in every respect a young christian gentleman.
