Born in Lorain, Ohio. Studied: University of Illinois, sculpture and drawing with Archipenko at Institute of Design; summer at Woodstock, N.Y. and at his Chicago studio. Studied tapestry weaving with Martta Taipale of Finland. Worked in weaving for 10 years then began drawing after seeing a power loom in '64. Began to make small collages in '65 and continued through '69. Exhibited: Brussels World's Fair, Museum of Contemporary Crafts, N.Y. Seattle World's Fair, Kunstgewerbe Museum, Zurich. One-man shows: Art Institute of Chicago, Staten Island Museum, N.Y., Willard Gallery, N.Y. Collections: Museum of Contemporary Craft, N.Y., Museum of Modern Art, N.Y., Kunstgewerbe Museum, Zurich; University of Southern Illinois, Temple Solel, Highland Park, Illinois; Interchurch Center Chapel, N.Y.
