Dear Jack,

Chip passed along your note and good words to me and although Chip missed the opportunity to share his thoughts with you in New York last week, he may not take pen in hand to do that now.

Chip's association with you has been a source of pride and pleasure in the fine design he has been selling. He too is in your debt for an education and appreciation achieved "on the job". His fondness and admiration for your design team is great. The lasting friendships developed, the anticipation of exciting new products, the satisfaction of a particular sale and installation, these were some high spots for Chip.

Perhaps in the absence of the Larsen corporate management we will see a lighter step, a more frequent smile, a lifting of stress and the return of the joy of daily business. We [[underline]] will [[\underline]] be stronger, he will channel those strengths in new directions.
