Dear Roy,

Even though we know you are in the process of retirement we also know that you will never cease being involved in human endeavors beneficial to your fellow man.

Over the years you have demonstrated selfless dedication to the cause of moving Alaska's native people into the mainstream of life as first class citizens of Alaska and our Nation. While there is still work to be done, you and others of similar devotion can take justified pride for a job well done.

Roy, your efforts over the years have not only been advantageous to Alaska's native people. Indeed, your humanitarian accomplishments redound to the well being of all Alaska's residents, be they Native, Caucasians, Blacks or of any other origin.

Neva and I wish you well. We join with countless others among your legion of friends in wishing you many happy and productive future years.

Sincerely yours,

Bill
