The Ass't Com'r directs me to say that you will in future, report officially to this Office all cases of disturbances arising between the freedpeople & whites of your Dis't. There has been no official report received of the difficulty that occurred at Atlanta on the 4th inst. Information has just been received of another row having occurred at Atlanta between the blacks & Whites of which no official report has been received from the Office of ASA Com'r at that place. You will immediately forward to this Office a Report of all the circumstances in connection with the above cases.
