#33 Ferry Avenue,
Detroit, Michigan
April 29th 1901.

Dear Billy--

I have you letter of April 25th and note the same. I am glad to know that you have settled down to a farmer's life, and hope you will obtain much enjoyment from your new occupation. I am also glad to have Mrs. Dinmick's kind remembrance. I remember her very well in the old days in Wiltwyok.

Now, concerning the property in Chicago, which you mentioned in your letter, I must ask you to excuse me from even considering its purchase. Nothing bores me more than to look after small pieces of property hither and thither. I have been fortunate enough to keep out of such matters in the past, and I certainly shall try to in the future.

With best regards to yourself and wife, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
