181 177 33 Ferry Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, December 23rd, 1907. Dear Matsuki:- Your letter sent Special Delivery, reached me last night, and I have just wired you: "Letter received. Sorry cannot accommodate you. Writing". which I now confirm. I am sorry that you find it so difficult to obtain money from the Boston Banks, but I am sure they are no worse off than the Banks here. We are trying to get through the stringency as best we can, and I cannot ask them to make further advances to me, at present. Trusting you can arrange your matters satisfactorily at home, I remain, Yours very truly, Charles L. Freer Mr. Bunkio Matsuki, 407 Boyltston Street Boston, Mass.
