66 [[symbol checkmark]] Detroit, Mich., 35 Ferry Avenue, November 12, 1907. My dear Rice:- Your kind letter of the 10th inst. came this morning, enclosing check as mentioned. I shall take pleasure in delivering the same to Roger, whom I expect to see tomorrow or next day. If nothing interferes, I shall make my eastward trip within ten days and if all goes well, I shall take much pleasure in stopping off at Williamstown. Matters here are more or less exciting just now owing to the financial difficulties, and because of this, I may be compelled to shorten my absence from Detroit, however, I am hoping that these matters will soon settle themselves. You will, I know, pardon this typewritten note, which in the pressure of many matters I am compelled to send. With all good wishes, believe me, Yours very sincerely, Charles L. Freer Mr. Richard A. Rice, Williamstown, Massachusetts.
