II. . So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of George M. Bates, deceased, consisting of a tract of land, containing 841 acres, more or less, situated in Elizabeth City County, Va. and reported on the land records of this office as two farms, containing in all 800 acres, is restored to George M. Bates, and John Q. Bates, heirs of George M. Bates, deceased, with all the rights and privileges of ownership, subject to the requirements of Par. 8 Cir. 15, Series 1865, War Department, Bureau R. F. and A. L. and upon the following condition, viz:

1st. The property will be restored to George M. Bates and John Q. Bates upon the expiration of the lease to any third party, or parties, if any exists.

2nd. That nothing in this order be construed as entitling them to compensation for damages to the property or to rents which may have accrued.

II. . 1st Lieut. E.A. Chandler, V.R.C. is hereby relieved from duty as Asst. Supt. of Matthews and Gloucester Counties, Va. and assigned to duty as Asst. Supt. of James City County Va, with his Head Quarters at Williamsburg, Va. He will turn over to his successor Frank K. Smith, all books and records relating to Bureau affairs in his possession.

III. Mr. Frank K. Smith is hereby appointed Asst. Supt. of the Counties of Matthews and Gloucester, Va. with his Head Quarters at Matthews C.H. Va. relieving 1st Lieut. E. A. Chandler V.R.C.

He will report in person to General S. C. Armstrong, Superintendent 5th Dist. Bureau R. F. and A. L., Fort Monroe, Va. for instructions.

I. So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of the "Hampton Baptist Church" consisting of a lot of land, situated in the town of Hampton Va. is restored to Danl. Cumming and C. W. Hickman, Trustees, with all the rights and privileges of ownership subject to the requirement of Par. 8, Cir. 15, Series 1865, War Department, Bureau R. F. & A. L., and upon the following conditions - viz: 

1st. The property of the "Hampton Baptist Church" will be restored to C. W. Hickman and Danl Cumming, Trustees, upon the expiration of the lease to any third party, or parties if any exists.

2nd. That nothing in this order be construed
