Either on Wed. 28th or Mond. 23rd I think the former. I marked a misty looking star or nebula, too small for a comet I thought, near the (apparent) North end of a group of stars of abt. 4^[[m]] long. Pretty conspicuous to the naked eye. Lorae where in the vicinity. I should judge of the tail of Cetus.
On the 26th wilst looking for this object to see if it had moved, I found the comet of Feb 26th. it is very probable that that of the 18th or 23 was the same.
