Office Asst Supt Negro Affrs Yorktown Va May 23 1865 Respectfully referred to Bvt Brig Gen B.C. Ludlow for his action The Government claims possession of one half of this farm and received last year about thirty bushels corn for rent of it. I have no doubt that property really belongs to Mr Wm Lee of New York who is a loyal man, and I respectfully recommended it be returned over to him with the personal property at once.
