Arbor day. Each scholar was given a small elm tree to plant. I planted mine by the side of the house. Jerry treated me to a milkshake and I went up to the North Wood's grounds and watched a baseball game. I played a little basketball across the street for a while.

Rode around on my wheel with Jerry on his wheel while he delivered some things all the morning. My drawing in the Bulletin came out on the first page to-day. I staid at home in the afternoon and helped the kids knock out flies.
In the evening I went to the Town Hall to see two plays called the "Sleeping Car" & "A [[strikethrough]]Surbur [[/strikethrough]] Lunch in the Suburbs". "The Sleeping Car" was the best. It was awfully funny. It was night and the actors kept waking an old fellow up mistaking [[strikethrough]] the his [[/strikethrough]] himself for the baby and the wife. "The Lunch in the Suburbs" was played by Ladies and all the trouble was stirred by the kitten. Besides these there was a monologue by Mary Lamb and some Coster Songs by an Actor.
