Started a sketch in the Jardin Botanico.
After lunch we saw the Dutchman's stuff of Morroco Spain and one or two from France. He is a dandy and his things were exquisite finest things I've seen of that country by about five miles. Feel like Id seen the place now.
Put away stuff at Prado guess Ill bring home big canvas Monday. Most of the evening in

Prado this A.M.
The Dutchman, painter, who is here came in. with his wife to see our stuff and gave us a lot of points. Hes the real thing from the ground up and so is his wife.
Went to the Zoo. after wards and fed the monkeys.
Dinner.
Went in next room to hear a Spaniard play the guitar He was good. Wrote Mr. Tarbell.
