Coccinella variabilis, black var. with white spots!

26th July 1950.

A very fine day, but collecting in afternoon spoiled by very heavy storm between 3 & 4 PM.

In afternoon drove to Manor Kilbride, Co. WI., as on 19th July collected only in the triangle between the roads from 3.30 till 4.45 PM. Owing to the heavy shower just as we arrived & sudden great fall in temperature very difficult to get a dry spot to sweep & very little out.

Taken under Beech trees, Manor Kilbride, Co. WI.
