n, as before. Also utters several typical "Glor" phrases without the extra doublet. I think this must be a real Glor. In fact, I think it is one of the Y birds!!! In any case, I am sure it is Diglossa.

At last!!!!! A single intermedium shows up. Flying rapidly from tree to tree, sometimes going high in air. Also once down into low shrubbery. Trees visited include some in which Glors sing and one of the trees visited by Coers yesterday (or, at least, a tree very close to the latter). Shrubbery visited definitely in Glor territory. But no Glors or Coers visible at the time the intermedium ("Inter") appeared.

All the Inter did was utter a number of loud single "Frit"s, both in flight and when perched.

It doesn't look a thing like Glor. Color underneath almost orange. Blue back conspicuous. At a distance, front of head looks all black while back of head looks all blue. Blue-bird color (Actually, I only saw this bird at a distance, and it was always moving about very rapidly, but I am quite sure of my identification.)

So all my observations of "Glors" were in fact Glors.

This species may compete with Cy and Coer more than with Glor or Albi.

This single Inter, the single Cy, and the 2 Coers this morning have all behaved in somewhat the same way. Appeared suddenly from down hill. Moved rapidly up the slope, largely in trees. And then disappeared up hill!

Almost immediately after writing the above, I look up to find the Inter is back! With its mate! Definitely associated with a group of 3 Basileuterus-type warblers (No. XI on the list). Moving down hill through shrubbery. Both the warblers and the Inters ranging from app
