In our transcription projects, we have explored much of the correspondence between Doris Holmes Blake and her husband, Sidney Fay Blake. From her papers comes our next project—family letters between Sid (and usually Doris, too) and his older brother, Ralph, and sister-in-law, Maude. The letters are full of news of Ralph and Maude's adult children and new grandchildren (Ralph was about fourteen years older than his brother), inquiries about other family members, and excitement about upcoming vacations for Sid and Doris to the home front in Stoughton, Massachusetts.
